Hi

I have a air induction kit fitted, but when i put my foot down in 1st gear, between revs 1000-3000 there is like a delay. Once it hits 3000 the car sghoots off??

Is there not enough air goin to the induction kit??

Or is the standard exhaust holding it back??

Erin, if it didn't flat spot before, it'll be because of the filter. I guess you bought a cone type open filter, yes? This will now have upset your fuel air mixture, hence flat spotting and loosing your power.

Personally I don't rate this much as an 'improvement nor enhancement ( but I come from the old skool of motoring)

If you wanna keep this filter, you could try re-setting your ECU then must run in for a hundred miles so the ECu "re-learns" its environment.

Now, like I say I am from the old skool, so therefore I have always found better responce and power gains from keeping the original air box, but fitting a K&N panel filter, block off the front griille intake and replace with a cold air feed from around the bottom of front bumper.

If it's the noise you like stick a few holes in the air box underside.

Besides, with this method, you can get away with not having to tell your insurance company.

A cone induction kit WILL affect your insurance! Be warned !!

Otherwise, good luck.
