Air Flow Sensor

Hi, i have recently replaced the air flow sensor on my Fiat Bravo 1.9 JTD 100 HLX (Year: 2001) and it has made no difference at all even though it was the problem which was stated after the diagnositcs. the part i used was a pattern part, could this be the reason for no difference? If this is the problem where am i able to get a offical fiat air flow sensor from rather than going to fiat and paying £179 for one.

If anyone can help i would be very grateful.

Unfortunately a lot of people experience the same issue with pattern parts in this area. Unfortunately it seems that biting the bullet and getting the FIAT one (or Bosch part) is the only recourse.
