Technical AIR-CON. Marea 2.4 diesel TD125 HLX Weekend 1998.

Hi,
still sorting this Marea out, in and amongst everything else ongoing.
I was told by previous owner - The air-con compressor was not kicking in. I've just had a friend regas it as it was low on pressure. compressor now kicks in and out regularly but it aint throwing out the cold air. my friend is away now for a few days and suggested carefully cleaning the condenser as it is the high pressure side that is not coolimg - hence compressor in & out.

As he is away for a few days, just thought I'd drop a thread, anyone had similar experience, something particular to Marea/Fiat? Any suggestions.

Lots in the archives, investigate the triple switch reciever dryer and the fan(s)

It could be a problem, if your cooler inside your dash is dirty. If it is, you'd have to clean or change it. But to do so, you 'd have to remove the dash...

Thanks for that guys,I'll trawl the archives. I did fire her up today and it was cooling for a short period a couple of times, cheers

Some mareas have one radiator fan with 2 speeds and a dropper resistor, that resistor can corrode away. Thread with pics in the archives
