Hi all, can anyone tell me if the part in the picture circled is replaceable or would it be new compressor? I think it might be leaking as damp around this area after having a regas.

That is where the compressor control valve sits on many AC compressors.

Generally the control valve is a replicable part but this picture looks like some sort of blanking plate.

It might be you don't need to replace it but you need to replace some rubber seals that seal the plate in place. In which case yes there are plenty of seals and O-Rings that are suitable for use in AC systems you could use to fix the issue. What I would say is that its highly unlikely that there is a part number listed by fiat for that. They would likely want to sell you a whole new compressor.

Might be worth talking to an AC specialist, someone who ONLY deals in automotive AC systems who will not only be able to reclaim the gas and recharge your system again which will be needed if they have to change any seals. But they are also likely to be able to advise if this is repairable and if so supply a suitable seal/o-ring to do it.

Don't try to remove that part yourself without having the gas removed from the system again. It is likely to be under extremely high pressure potentially 200psi being held back by that circlip so if you remove it you might find the metal part in the middle exits the car at great speed never to be seen again.
