Mine came on and even though your not ment to touch them as there explosives i diconnected the battery, removed the lower steering wheel couling to gain access to the slipring wiring, there a 2 pin connector that can cause probs that is under the steering column, all i did was disconnect it give the connector a tweeke and re-connect it, put the battery terminal back on and the light went out maybe woth a try
There are a few things that it could be (sensor in the seat, broken wire under the drivers seat, knackered clock spring, etc.). Best to get it along to someone with the right diagnostic kit and see what error is causing the light to illuminate . Be prepared, however, as it might not be a cheap fix and, if you get away with a simple reset, be aware that it may not last very long and could even come back on 100yds down the road .
Personally, mine is on all the time due to a steering wheel swap (until I can get a fix sorted to fool the ECU !).
