Does anyone know whereabouts the Airbag ECU is on a 2003 Ulysse? My CD manual tells me under the drivers seat, but I can't see where it would be as below the car on the L/H side there's only the FAP tank - and on the ER/H side just flat floor! And... how does the tray under the passenger seat come out? Cheers.

Because although the airbag light comes on then goes off, I'm a) checking all connections as there are lots of silly alerts on the screen when at first driving and b) it's to me a new car and I like to find out where everything is. Yesterday's discovery was the brake fluid reservoir. LH to RH drive madness! That engine compartment makes my V6 XM look spacious and easy...

When the Lexia/PP2000 is hooked up (tomorrow?) we'll see what it has to say about the airbags.

(I also need to find why the rear washer doesn't - no sign of leaks in the car, pump runs but water finds its way to the windscreen wipers...? WTF? Out with the washer bottle and take a look perhaps using the air line?)

The CD was dead cheap. Anyone got a Peter Russek manual? His XM one's pretty good. Not complete, but very good in most parts. Think I'll just get a copy and see.

If the airbag light comes on and off by itself then please take it to a dealer, there can be issues on this system.

Rear washer pipe will be leaking at rear C pillar on drivers side. pull the panel off and you will see the pipe here has come apart leaking water onto the parking module.

The air bag light comes on when the ignition switched is turned to "M". After a delay, it goes off. I was under the impression that this is normal behaviour, i.e., it has self checked and is ok?

There is no sign of water in the C pillar - the one behind the rear (middle row) seats. I took that apart a week ago to check free seat belt retract which some **** had managed to totally cock up on the "B" pillar (LH) side. So, checked all of 'em.

It beggars belief - whoever it was had routed all the "B" pillar cables so that the belt was chafing against them and had managed to get the belt out of the plastic channel it should run in. If this was a dealer, I'm distinctly unimpressed!

Wrong - that was passenger side airbag... Hold on, I'll take a look at the other (main) warning lamp...no, can't find another "square" warning symbol...?

Thats correct

C pillar is back of car,I think you need to remove this panel to get to rear lights drivers side.

Ta - but isn't that the "D" pillar? "A" being windscreen, etc? Whatever, it's at the back as you say - no water there either. I reckon something at the pump/reservoir is wrong, as the rear wash pipes water to the screen...

BTW, there is no "square" or rectangular airbag warning light on my panel above the steering wheel - but it did pass an MOT only a few weeks ago. Oh, how familiar all this Citroen stuff is after years of Mitsubishi!

lol yeah suppose so, used to 3dr's.

Pull the washer pipe apart at the join (at the C/D pillar) and try it, water getting there if not it's as you say at pump end if it is getting through it's at washer jet end.

Note sure what you mean by square warning light, got a photo?
