in the end the becker control unit was faulty ,i wasted a LOT of time with the multiscan wich is not compatible with the 1995 becker unit ,i then wasted even more time trying to re set using blink codes ,so my advice on the 1995 car
1) re wire the seat pre tensioners and solder the connections/check the resistance 2.5 ohm approx
2) check the passenger air bag diode under the glove box 3.2 ohm approx
3) try to re set using blink codes if you get different codes ie showing fault s 2 ,4,6 change the control unit this will save you hours of bxggering around
i managed to get a working becker unit for 70 quid ,plugged it in ,bosh no red air bag light
