Installed a cheap Chinese aftermarket stereo to my daughter's 2012 Fiat 500, which has the interscope sound system. All powers up, but no sound. I'm guessing this is because the "amp" wire from the stereo needs to be connected so the amp turns on, but I don't know which cable this needs to be connected to. Can't find any diagrams anywhere!

Any help would be really appreciated, and will help get my daughter to stop going on about it :).

Many thanks.

If you've still got the original stereo , confirm that produces audio when connected..

Are you using any conversion/adaptor cable ?

Pin 41 (in the diagram attached) appears to be the turn on pin for the amp. (needs connecting to ign/switched 12v)

There is a amp out cable on the new stereo, should I connect it to that?

Just found the diagram for our particular stereo. Any

ideas? :)

Let's put it the right way round to make it less confusing :ROFLMAO:;)

After doing a bit of research, if you provide the pin labelled 'Booster Det' with 12volts it "tells" the head unit to disable the high level output (i.e. enough to drive speakers on its own) to switch to low level output (i.e. to drive an external amp)

Have you got a pic of the "amp out" cable?
