...is this possible? is it costly. would have got it as an extra but really wanted mourano blue an the last one in that colour had already been built! :bang: already got the cruise control tho :D :p but dont really use it

I know that there are aftermarket rain sensors. I had one in my previous car (VW Polo '98). It is a membrane that is being attached on your windscreen and a car electrician must connect a couple of cables to the wiper's switch. When you have the switch to the position that operates periodicaly, then the rain sensor is being activated.

As about the dusk sensors, I have no idea...

I don't see why Fiat wouldn't sell the parts but i'm sure they would cost an arm and a leg 'cause all theese sensors always cost a fortune but mybe it would be worth a look.... i'm sure somebody with a Fiat parts manual could tell youwhat parts are needed
i've got rain and dusk sensors and though i must say tha rain sensor could be abit better i must say that they both work pretty well and they're quite useful (except for the fact that you have to activate the auto wipers every time it rains and that you can't use full beam on the auto lights but hey, typical Fiat "must make it safe" but crap for user!!)

If there was one thing I'd happily lose from the car it is the rain sensor. I would rather have a traditional variable wipe. Sometimes it is great other times a bit hit and miss in the end you still have to intervene. The dusk sensor is useful but you can't use main beam (only manually) when set to automatic a bt of a pain really. Forget it is what I'd say.

Well with the "real" FIAT one you'd have to get a sensor (£50), new column stalks (£200), new windscreen (maybe on insurance), the wiring sorted, new mirror . . .

I'd like em too but just think it ain't worth it. Now connect nav+, there's another story . . . :D

I agree - a waste of time - I spend more time when it is raining having to intervene on the wipers [I know others say it is great, and on the Ulysse it is ideal(y) ].

And as for the auto lights - yes, I use them - BUT once I hit country lanes I have to switch them over to manual just so that I can use main beam [again, unlike the Ulysse, which copes with that]....

I'd agree with Stu, my mum's Stilo (I drove it for about 2 years) had the Comfort Pack. I don't miss the rain or light sensors, but really miss the parking sensors - the FIAT Accessory only has 2 sensors, if it had 4 I probably would buy it. Again, getting the OE bits from FIAT looks to be expensive, plus it needs access to the CAN line, which can never be good . . .

So Auto on the Ulysse allows you to use main beam?

The other thing I don't like about auto-lights is that no one gets to see the Stilo's fancy sidelights :( I tend now to only use Auto for going through tunnels and the like.......... and as for auto-wipers - Just brilliant! :)
