Advice???

Hi everyone...

I have got a mk1, 3 door black punto and at the moment it looks totally boring. Any advice on what i should do to it first? I'm looking for alloys at the mo, and a kit, so what small mods should i make?

i've got a black mk1 punto too, i got alloys, base box nd speakers and then took out bits of the interior and sprayed them yellow. put clear led repeters on and got led screen washers. also looking for yellow undercar neons and a yellow and black steering wheel.
the only limit to what you can do is your imagination.

if your getting alloys then you must must must get it lowered! And get the windaz tinted..

i agree with you mate i got alloys on mine and im now looking to lower it 30mm to make it look better (it looks like it could go off roading at the mo [)])
wanting to tint the windows but trying to work out the best tint without breaking the law [}]

i think the law is that you can have any tint on all windows except the front which has to remain clear. Thats what ive been told anyway

My understanding is that yu can tint all windows excluding the windscreen with a 27% reflective (Light Smoke) tint and thats the law on it...

i read up on it and it states 70% light to enter through front passenger and drivers windows and 75% through the others. NONE on the windscreen and you can completely black out the back one if you've got wing mirrors to see through.
it also says if your caught with more tinting than legal you have 1 hour to take your car off the road, it has to stay off the road till its removed and then you have to have it checked by a light meter before its allowed back on the road.
it also says this varies from region to region.

heard that you can have al windows tinted apart form the windscreen but you can only have the frunt driver and paseneger tinted slightly so that people can still see your face!

i just dont want people to see i have to put the shopping in the back of the car cos i haven't got room in the boot due to the base box being in there [8D]

So what parts of the interior did you take out and spray?

Did anyone have a problem changing the gear knob in their punto? Wasn't a problem with my corsa, but looking at my punto it seems like it would be a bit harder to swop over...[8D]

just pull on the gear knob it does come off eventually, but BECAREFUL hubby nearly knocked himself out on the roof when it finally came off [)]
i've taken door pockets, door handles (both big and small ones), air vents, front center thingy with all the knobs on (dead technical me.) and the covers for the front speakers. sprayed them all broom yellow.
also got yellow leather gaiters for the handbrake and gear stick.
got yellow speakers in the parcel shelf.
i now just want a yellow and black steering wheel possibly a simoni x4.
i also got a 3" chrome exhaust.
where abouts in liverpool are you cos im quite close in orrell and i got rellies in melling.
