Technical Advice please.....

Hi All, Im new to the forum and in need of some advice please......

I have. fita scudo 1.6 and was travelling long distance two nights ago when i started to get a rumbling sensation from the wheels when I pressed in the clutch, and when i touched the brake is pulled the van to the left hand side this lasted for about 10 minutes and stopped, then carried on again a bit further and then stopped again. It was like the feeling of going over rumble strips. Anyway to cut a long story short I now have a knocking sound when going left or right round corners, and brakes are squeeking which they were squeeking before ll of this for about 2 weeks and were booked in to get looked at. Any help on this would be great. Thanks

Hi

Sounds like a fault with the Front end

I wouldnt drive it for 2 weeks without a check.over !!


With gloves on.. kneel by a front wheel

Hands at ten..to..two on the tyre..as if you are driving

Push and pull the wheel.. any noises?

Then twist the wheel : push one hand pull the other.. change the motion to rock the wheel left and right...steering wheel might move a little.. any noise ??

Then try the other front wheel..

Look for differences


Knowing where to look in more detail should be guided by what you feel

Check all 4 tyres for bulges.. and check their pressures too
