Have a problem with PandaVan in that its starting and running grand, accelleration in 1st and 2nd are grand but then it starts to die off.. By 4th its struggling to keep up 50 mph on the level.

Thoughts?

Is the injector light on the dash coming on at all? Any poor running when trying to maintain speed, i.e misfring or spluttering etc? Or running normally just very down on power?

Could be blocked exhaust or something along those lines perhaps? I'm presuming it's not going to be a sticking brake as I imagine you would have noticed that.

fuel supply.. pressure tailing off:confused:

once it's "gone flat" in top gear.. slow back down and see if it's still poor in 2nd / or better in the lower gears.

could well be some electical gizmo overheating:eek:

Are the symptoms streigh after cold start? Or only when fully warm?
If pulls fine thru all gears when cold and judger when warm - have a look on hot/cold air flap inside front air box. Remove hot air pipe from manifold and give it a go.

Nope, no mayo, and no waring lights.

Been suggested that it could be the in tank fuel pump filter that has got gummed up over the year the car was off the road. I did drain all the fuel out before starting it for the first time but the damaged was probably done by then. Will pull the pump out and have a look
