So my lads active eco has dog mauled headrests. They rubbery open square design seem readily available, but I wondered if 500 headrests might be usable as they are in my opinion a bit nicer.

If it's the fixed type

I have no idea if the can be modified

The notch on the fix type are on the front

The adjustable ones are on the side

So not a straight swap as far as I can see

The fixed ones need the material unclipped to get to push the clip down

Front on solid ones

Side adjustable ones

You can remove the adjustable type without dismantling anything

Yes within the panda range, they just bolt in, plug and play

But the newer post 2012 and 500 are different

Only 3 out of the 4 hole line up, means some fabrication work/skill to swap one of the the rails over

Split rears from the later pandas and 500 also need all the bars catches, bracket from the donor vehicle, and may or may not leave a visible gap between the seat and back, some do, some don't, no idea why

So complete 500 seat sets can be done, plenty of threads on here

With older seats its worth swapping the seat bases over, the passenger side usually much less worn, on the majority it's just two bolts hold it in and both sides are the same, slightly more complicated if it's height adjustable but still doable and worthwhile on seats over 10 years old
