I have a ducato 2.3 150 2017
They changed the timing and accessory belt and after 3000km, I started hearing squeaks from the right side.
I removed the belt and the noises disappeared, so I checked the tensioner and bearing, both were in bad condition so I changed them for new Dayko brand ones. Both have only one mounting position so they are mounted correctly.
When you start the engine, the belt is slack and makes a small noise, once I increase the revs the belt gains tension and there is no squeak.
I don't know if the strap will have stretched during that time, which I find difficult, or if it could be something else.
The alternator works correctly, both the rotation and the pinion.
Anything else to look at?
I don't know if it would be a solution to buy a slightly shorter strap.
Fixed up. I had the belt assembled incorrectly in the workshop, it was placed correctly and the problems were over.
