I advise using a mirror and trying to manage with a pair of long fine nosed pliers, getting the glove box out is a KING sized pain in the b*****
If you do want to proceed it appears you get this out by removing the hinge pins. Remove two Philips screws from the retaining washers and the tap the hinge pins out from inside the glove box.
There is also the damper arm on the left hand side. This pushes towards the outside of the car (near side and then flips out with a little help from a screw driver. Don't use excess force or it will break.
There are then two side arms that remain on the car but must be released from the hinge lugs use a thin flat blade to ease the towards the outsides of the glove box tray. The box then comes out with difficulty. You can at least then see the fused easily. Takes about 20 mins to get this out, I removed all sorts of other bits ebfore deciding how to do it.
Also managed to get three fat wires into the engine bay through a spare slot in the main wiring rubber grommet. This was also pretty taxing and accomplished with a wire feeding tool from QD that is effectively a set of micro drain rods.
I have not yet put the thing back and am not sure if the hinge pins (these are thick plastic things will push back from inside the glove box or not. God I hope they do as if not its going to take the patience of a saint to get them back the opposite way they came out!
The arms on the side of the box are the bit to watch for as they would be easily broken. They seem to do no more than locate a piece of plastic across the back of the glove box that shields the bare metal ends of the main electrical supply wires to this fuse box from things in the glove box. A really poor bit of engineering!!!
Its a bloody good thing I like Mr Bogdan the Bravo or he would be on his way by now!
I hope this helps. Basically quite possible to do but long winded and has the possibility of breaking cheap plastic parts that no doubt cost the earth.
