accelerator cable help

ive had my bravo 1.4 sx for 10 months and my accelerator cable snapped after a month of ownin it...fiat have a three month backlog for this and i had 2 get a second hand 1 from a scrap yard...the bastard has snapped again this mornin...if any1 knows where 2 get 1 please let me no and y does it keep snappin

I can't help you to get a genuine part but if you ring around you can often find people who can make up cables if you have the end fittings. Specialist motorcyclist shops particularly might be able to get you going again.

Mine went this year. Can be such a hoot when you emerge onto a roundabout at busy times! Only took 24 hours to get the part though.

re accelator cable

mine went recently too, 30,000 miles, at a bloody busy roundabout too, anyway i was informed that a minor part like that is not stocked by dealers and therefore would have to be ordered, i was off the road for two days.
