Acceleration PROBLEM, HELP ME PLEASE

Alright lads, I have had my Bravo for about 2 years now and it had been running fine, in the last month it started running better than ever before and the performance for the 1.4 was amazing.

But recently it just wont accelerate as before, it feels tired, I have taken it to fiat but they couldnt find a fault, Anyone had the same problem.

Please help.

when was the last service, plugs oil change etc??

I am a little over due for the oil change say about 1000 miles over the recommended amount for a change to take place. Plugs I dont think i have ever changed them.

So am i just a really bad owner who need to get his finger out of his arse and service the beauty, would old oil really make such a problem.

In a word, yes , look after the car and it will look after you, book it in for a service

you need to change the oil and oil filter on a 1.4 regularly. even more so if you do lots of short trips in it. i did mine every 9-10k because i did a mix of long and short...

the 1.4 is the most sensitive car to oil changes, so do it. also, your plugs are probably well overdue if you've never changed them... £20 for a pack of bosch Super4's will see you on your way again.

if you havent changed the oil on it for that long make sure you change it and then check its getting oil to the cam shafts because its a typical problem on the 1.4. it could also be why its so slow!!

the oil rail to the cam clogs up realy easly ive had to unblock one befor and its not a nice job
