Has anyone experienced a problem with the abs warning light coming on after changing the wheels on a Panda multijet?

My car is a 2007 Dynamic Multijet. Today I put some HP100 GTI wheels on the back axle ( fitted with 185X 65X 15 tyres) and on the front kept the standard 175X 55X 13.

The cars runs and drives great, but the ABS warning light comes on after a few minutes and stays on. Am I right to think that the ABS sensors on each wheel detect a different rolling radius between the front and the back and therefore decide to display a warning which then switches off the ABS activation?

Any thoughts most appreciated.

Cheers. Rossgorooster.

Abs works by monitoring the speed of each wheel, smaller wheels on the front and bigger wheels on the back means the abs ecu will see the front wheels traveling significantly faster than the rear wheels. The abs will error and the system will fail putting on the light
