Grande Punto ABS light advice please?

Hello,

I wonder if anyone would be able to advise me and my garage???
I have a Grande punto 1200 and the ABS light is on. It is an 07 and I have had it from new with no previous problems. It is due its MOT, so took it to the garage and the brakes are fine. He put it in the diagnostic machine and it said front left wheel - so I had a new bearing and new sensor but the light is still on? I can't have the MOT until the light goes off but he says that he doesn't know whats wrong with it. Any advice/ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi Julie welcome to the forum :wave: get the wiring tested they have been known to let water in via the ABS wheel sensor plug this rots the copper core leading to high resistance and the subsequent light


The official fix is a new wiring loom for that area to totally replace the faulty section

another option is to have the abs wire cut well back and a new section of cable soldered in its place and a new plug grafted on (this is not the officially recognised fix due to brakes been a safety item and someone unskilled making a mess of it)
