I've had my sporting mjet for a just over a year now and think it's a great motor, but I often find myself thinking that Fiat's stock 'Sporting' bodykit is a bit, well, whimpy. I've never put bodykits on my motors and never really thought about it until now. I've always thought that if it enhanced the car in some way, the manufacturer would have done it.

But having seen the bodykits of the EsseEsse models, I'm blown away. Aside from my frustration at a 58 plate EsseEsse being at the dealership I bought my Mjet from for £4,000 less than I paid, I think that the car looks gorgeous - even better looking is the S2000 rally model. If only I could get my hands on an S2k engine for my Fiat...

Does anybody know where I can get hold of the Abarth body kit? I noticed that the wheel arches are more flared than on the stock models and that *may* be a problem in terms of sizes, but I'm not sure. I can't seem to find anything on eBay, Google or Fiat's website (or any of their dealerships' websites for that matter). Can anybody help me here?

Thanks for any suggestions, they're greatly appreciated! :)

Are you pulling my todger??

That's ludicrous...

I'm going to ask my Fiat dealership when I pick my car up either today or tomorrow about discount rates. They've messed me about lately - my skydome sunroof wasn't fitted properly and I've been in and out of the workshop at least five times with squealing brakes which they have failed to fix and twice for a dashboard vent that has come loose. Whilst I love the car, the dealership has really jerked me around and the least they can do from where I'm standing is offer a discount.

That being said, they probably won't...

Are they an abarth dealer? If not they cant do anything related to abarth so you wont get a discount. Its not that bad. Its a proper plastic kit not some crappy fibreglass one.

They are an Abarth dealer, but looking at the prices of actual Abarth EsseEsse models that they have in stock, it looks far more cost effective to just chop in my motor against the real thing...

I'm not really clued up on modding cars, I know some of the basics, but to me ~£1750 for parts seems very steep. Maybe if that figure included the labour and fitting I'd be more inclined to see it as reasonable...

Dont forget it would probably be easy to sell you existing sporting bodykit to someone that has a lower model. So thats money to budget in.

you can get the s2000 kit here (I can't post URLs yet ;))

trouble is you would probably need a ludicrous amount of spacing on the front and then there are no rear extensions.. would look very odd

Truth be told, the S2000 kit looks even better than the Abarth kit to me. I just didn't figure it would be available to road cars. Sweet find bud, I may well be looking into that!

As it turns out, I got my Bella back today and the dealership have told me that they are not authorised to fit Abarth parts, despite having Abarth livery in their windows, selling them on the forecourt and being a licensed dealership and servicing centre for Abarth cars. What really bothers me is that my skydome still buffets/judders at 30mph+ and the brakes are still squealing like a lil' piggy, despite the fact that I've been forced to drive around in a friggin' Chevrolet Aveo courtesy car for the past two days whilst they were 'fixing' these issues for the fourth time now... :bang:
