Hi

A few questions please as my dealre is being useless!

I'm new to Fiat, having had Mini's for the last 6 years. When I ordered with them they kept me up to date weekly with what was happening. I placed my Abarth order over 6 weeks ago and still don't have a delivery date, - is this normal for Fiat?!! Also they still haven't taken a deposit.

I've asked the dealer about driving abroad on a PCP and he was going to get back to me (this was also 6 weeks ago) so does anyone please know if it is allowed (I can't with my mini so wanted to check!)

I also asked him for a price for fitting rear parking sensors, and guess what, still not heard :bang:

I've left messages for them to ring me back and they don't. I need to give Mini notice of handing the car back by the end of this week and don't want to do this if I still don't have a delivery date. If this is Fiat customer service I fear I won't be using them again.....(n)

Sorry, rant over!

They should have had at the minimum a build week by now I'm fairly sure I got an estimated date about 3 weeks after the order was placed, was reasonably spot on. Just don't expect it to be quick, that factory is flat out with Pandas, 500s and KAs.

Would seem odd that you couldn't travel abroad on a PCP, you couldn't have a holiday for the period, seems daft to me.

Sorry your having problems with your dealer, I have to say mine was fantastic begining to end, knowledgable, friendly kept me informed and made me feel like my custom was important to them. On the whole talking to other Abarth owners both 500 and GP, the dealers seem to be on the ball. After all my car buying experineces I really can't believe I'm not only being plesant about one, but genuinely impressed at the service.

phone up and tell them you want to cancell your order, if that doesn't give them a kick up the arse nothing will (y)

edit: perhaps all 700 cars have been sold and they are just stalling 'cos they cannot obtain a car for you...

I did wonder if they couldn't get one either - I'm just about to ring again so fingers crossed! I won't say which dealer it was but they aren't my local ones - a bit further up the A50 ;)

Ahhh!! just wondered as I'm in s.leics and went to Rockingham cars and they couldnt have been more helpful....and are Abarth dealers as well.Seemed to have lots when I went last week for Bibi's 1st service......or maybe they were all reserved?? Hope you get it sorted(y)

Doubt it would be Rockingham, that's who I went to and the Abarth guy is sound, from what I've heard when in there the rest of the sales team seem top notch.

Sound's like my dealer. Although they did at least keep me informed of my order.

My dealer communication has been very limited. I have had to push for everything.

Havig said that, they are very helpful when asked and have managed to fulfil all my requests so far.

havent heard a thing from my dealer since i made the order 5 weeks ago so i spoke to him yesterday asking for a status report, didnt get one, he just said evrything is ok and he,ll update me when he hears anything!?,i should have been a bit more forceful i,m thinking,so going in on friday and politley demand an update, other than that he seems a nice enough bloke just very laid back ,anyways he threw in the rubbing strips flag stripe and some key thingy and gave the kids a toy 500 each so dont want to be harsh on him:)

Could you be talking about Platts in Stoke-on-Trent?

:chin: I'm saying nothing!

Interesting to hear it's not just my dealer that needs to be pushed - that kind of puts my mind at rest.

I did finally get a call yesterday saying the car should be built this month, and should be at the dealer sometime in May. We shall see
