General A112 - Project

Hello!

This is my little A112 Abarth replica project! :slayer: It's still in bits at the moment but trying to get it all back together with a new colour! and a slightly juicier engine as 45hp was starting to get annoying when there was an extra 2 passengers!

Hoping to have it finished within 2 months if my funds don't run out!

Will try and update as and when i can!

Wow at this rate the 'other fiats' section is going to be the most interesting on the site. Nice to see a fellow Autobianchi owner. A112s are lovely little cars I sometimes find myself wishing that fiat had carried over the platform for its sucessor.

Me too shame it never made it to the UK! Had mine for 3 years in August now and i just can't imagine ever getting rid of it i love it to bits!

Oh I've been following that! Love the Y10! Looks great in white too!

i decided to go red with a matt black bonnet and matt black rear valence! going to refurb the wheels to a darker grey as well.

Its nice to hear positive comments . On a sad note, since its started raining its electrics have gone mad again

I see you have the same steering wheel as me! What soundproofing material are you using on the floor. I'd like to used dynamat but it seems terribly expensive.

Yep!

ahh my electrics only survive as my dad's an electrician! funnily enough that was the first major problem i had!

As for the sound proofing the guy didn't give me the brand he just said it was industrial sound proofing. might be a rubbish but i kinda like the noise! except when your ears start bleeding when i'm motorway driving at 70 mph!

It's a Weber 32 DMTR! There's actually one on eBay.it if you want one!

The manifold is built into the A112 Abarth rocker cover either the 70hp or the 58hp engine! (which fits all 850, 903, 965, 982 and 1050 fiat engines)
I should have brought the 58hp rocker cover as now i have to fabricate a linkage for the throttle!

This is the 58hp which is correct for my throttle

Thanks for the info , once my van is sprayed and the interior finished i will be looking at making my engine quicker so i might start looking out for bits ready for when i rebuild my engine. Is there anything else you would recommend performance wise?

No worries!

All i've done performance wise is the bigger twin choke carb.
New Ansa exhaust system
re-profiled fast road cam which is 274º so no too mental just a bit wilder
and a set of kent cam uprated valve springs.

All this should increase my 903cc engine from 45hp to 63hp which should be a little more fun! :yum:

So little update as it stands!
So close to finishing now just little bits left!

The engine is done! And the car has it's new coat! I'm going to be going up to put all the interior back on tomorrow!

Can't wait to see my new wheels on it!

Im going to have to gush abit and say that an absolutely gorgeous little car. Its exactly the same colour scheme as my toy Majorette one I had in the 80s
