Really need to read what the coolant is for. The halfords red stuff is for alloy head am sure,which is suitable for the Fire engine Can't comment on other makes!

According to the Petronis Lubricants website Paraflu 11 is a glycol based BLUE anti-freeze :confused:
Paraflu UP is the RED OAT coolant :confused:
Now i am confused :bang:

Oh yeah, i've also been using the Halfrauds ready mixed red stuff.

I know that my dads Merc SL500 must have a particular coolant (which i can't remember) but it says in the owners manual that its due to the material the block is made from not the heads - as fingers says, what car doesn't have an alloy head these days.. That car also demands fully synthetic oil as well.
