Been meaning to post this for a while.

got one of these Linky off Ebay (mine was £4.12 'cause i'm tight and esniped an auction :p) just to use to record myself on my bike, tbh i didn't expect much, i had a spare micro SD card lying around so i went for it.

the quality and sound are spot on, fair bit better than my samsung tocco! i find a 4GB will last around the same as the rechargable battery inside 3 hours (ish).

just thought it might be of interest to some of ya :)

do a recording if anyone is interested and post it up (y)

thank you! :worship:

iv been thinking about this for a while just so i can show some videos of the roads around where i live coz i think there amazing

We had a ton of these on the recent ring trip. The quality is.....variable. We had a lot that simply didn't work as advertised and a lot of corrupted video. We put 4 on my 500 for a particular blast. The sd card fell out of one and the others didn't work. Be warned, they're hit and miss. Still, for the price you can splurge on a few and see how it goes. The manual comes in Chinglish but a guy on Pistonheads forum has written a proper English how-to manual for them.

Just ordered a couple out of curiosity. Will see how it goes! :)

Ta for the link.

I've got a t-eye camera which is good and I also have a torch cam (looks like a small torch, has 8 LEDs and a camera lens in the centre) for the slightly higher resolution.

Have to say that the torchy does drop the odd file now and then.
I've just bought another cam off ebay & having loads of problems. Sent one back & they say nowt wrong with it!

This vid represents everything recorded during a 40 mile round trip (going round the roundabout at the start of the clip was the halfway point!

Forgot to add to above. The second clip is from a more expensive "car black box".
This camera is supposedly specifically designed to start recording as soon as power is supplied to the unit. It has a short battery life to enable it to finish recording and save the last file.
In a static test (12v portable jump starter & camera plugged into monitor), the unit recorded 146 files, each of 1 minute length (as factory set).
Of these files, only 42 were able to be watched (as these were the only ones recognised by the computer - AND even the camera only recognised them!)
currently in a Loooooong discussion with the seller as the last one I sent back, they say works fine.
They say chinese Government won't let them view youtube and my email won't let me send video clips. They also say that they don't have a car in which to test the cam!

I use a Veho Micro Muvi camera. 640x480 but it is really small and the sound recording ain't too bad. Handy as it can be clipped onto various things. I also have the mounting kit so I can clip it onto the mount on the back of my rear view mirror for recording in the car or clip it onto the handelbar mounth when I'm on my bicycle. Cost about £60 for the camera and extra kit but good quality and the battery lasts a good 3-4 hours. Videos are saved as avi on the micro sd card. (y)
