your condeming a dealership (infact largest european independent car retailer) on the basis of one salesman

I totally agree, my local Fiat dealer, run by Stoneacre, are useless. But the chap that is helping me at the moment is geniune. He says he doesnt know much about cars, but the salesmen that do, never get sales because they over haul the customer with too much technical stuff. He just tells the customer how reliable Fiat are, what they will get out of the car and if it saves you money, which in my eyes is brilliant. You do get fantastic salesmen/women out there, but sadly Fiat dont have many of them. But dont judge a book by its cover

went to arbury fiat and the 1st person called craig was very friendly,laid back, knowledgable,not pushy and glad to help.so we should be seeing him again.

I went to a different one a few weeks before.
Guy jumped on me just as I got through the door. Wasn't really much help at that one.

Kept offering cars which were above my stated budget and was really clingy.
They don't understand "im just looking".

Thing is they are on comission, they MUST sell...however some breathing space would be appreciated! On holiday abroad in a cig/drink shop place (tabacus?) thing I was asked 5 times before I even got to the drink...so pIssed off I just left & went to another where I was given time to chose my purchases & left happy

It has been mentioned here that AC are sales focused, there isn't that same interest in aftersales (parts/worshop) which tends to be good.

Platts are very good I must admit, I don't go looking at cars, just for obscure parts but they have never tried to pounce on me and try to get me to buy an Alfa etc

Only ever had one dealing with AC, the salesman didn't even know they did a diesel engined fiat 500, needless to say I walked out.

TJVickers of either telford or shrewsbury are my prefered ones now Brindley gave up the franchise.

Would be interested in hearing where the willenhall/wolverhampton one is opening up?

yes it is still opening, it will be up and running on the 1st Aug. and will share the same site as the Guest Alfa site in willenhall

I can also vouch for bostons of milford, always been friendly enough in there when Ive poked my head in looking at Grande's and the new 500, never actually brought anything from them apart from parts (who were excellent btw!)
Have also heard good things about platts, its an abarth dealership too isnt it???

i rang guest today and i spoke to a lady asking if the fiat department was still and when opening. she didnt have a clue and didnt know anything about it.i asked her 2 find out if they will stock abarth to make sure and confirm it for me and to email me back.nobody has and that was this morning.

would you be able to find out for me please?i need confirmation as i am running out of time.

i have just rang guests at willenhall and the chap told me they are looking to open up as a fiat september however wont be selling abarth.

he also said the branch in solihill will remain as alfa.
