General 999 Fire running problem

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and also new with the Fiat Uno since its my first car (i'll be 18 next week). since i've got the car i have noticed that its running a bit rough, also when cold it starts only without choke applied(even when cold after a night outside), i've cleaned the spark plugs and after 2 days they are now 100 % black again so they're getting dirty real quick. any ideas? thanks in advance

Change the air filter. If it's blocked then that will explain it not starting properly with the choke out (a blocked air filter effectively acts as a choke) and the spark plugs fouling. Otherwise its a mixture problem.

hi, 10x for your quick response, car was serviced yesterday, changed everything including timing belt, plugs, oil/air filter, cylinder head oil seels, and cleaned the carb(all was left for the mechanic to do to be sure i wasn't doing anything wrong), still having the same prob
