Technical *8valve punto wheezing noise,

anyone know what this will be,

got a 8valve punto here with a weird wheezing noize on startup,

ive changed fanbelt /cambelt and tensioner, new alternator


its not thrust bearing box is refurbed and plate is new ish,

the noise goes once engine is warm,

it sounds like a 12v car vac

no vacume leaks on pipe work or brakes,

ALT belt off makes no differnce,

Elecy steering on this atm,is showing steering light but works no problem
city mode works too,

at first ithought it was steering motor but no noise inside car just in engine bay,

i would thunk timing belt too tight first off then

timing belt is tensioned correctly mate,

noise is from top end of engine behind airbox area,
airbox is bolted down good, spring is missing like most punto's mind,

Have you checked the breather hose...? (I bet you have...!) Mine didn't wheeze, though: it just spat gunk everywhere....

Just a though but not starter sticking out is it? Had one once that sounded like a supercharger.
