General 615 miles and it's flashing

My mileage display started flashing today (on 615 miles). To be completely honest I can't be 4r$ed to RTFM so wondered if anyone might know why?

I first thought it might be related to 'Range' because the petrol gauge showed around 1/4 to 1/3 full (although I didn't count the actual number of 'blocks'), but when I switched to 'Range' it showed enough for 125 miles, so it can't be that.

By 617 miles it was still flashing, so I switched off and back on and that cured it (ie. the display stopped flashing).

Any ideas?

Do a search on proxy alignment or proxyalignment and all will be revealed. Happens on other models too so search the whole forum.
