Technical 6 speed manual box

Went to see a sporting today , what are the common issues to look out for with the 6 speed box?

I could hear what seemed like a clicking sound when the clutch was engaged, it went when clutched pedal pressed.

Also couldn't get it into 5th. All the other gears seemed fine.
