Technical 500X keyless problem

500X in the UK uses "Passive TPS" tyre pressure warning. There are no pressure sensors in the types. Instead the ABS and Steering determine relative wheel rotations to detect under pressure tyres. As no absolute pressure is involved you need to use the vehicle menu to reset the tyre reference values. Set all tyres to required pressure and then perform the reset. Note! This should also be done after new tyres are fitted to the car otherwise one will get warnings.
Thankyou for your reply. I used the vehicle menu to reset but it came back on again and now doesn’t give me the option to reset. It normally says “ Prss ok to reset” but doesn’t say that now.

As the BCM was fitted by a Fiat Dealer all parts and labour come with a 12 month warranty. Go back to the dealer.

If the items you mentioned were working before the BCM was changed then I think it is Fiat's responsibility to sort this out. You have to be firm but polite and escalate to Fiat if required.

At a year old I am possibly a little late to the assistance party.

We have a 66 plate 500x cross plus petrol auto and love it, but....

...a month back we got a kelyess entry warning. This was accompanied by the doors locking / unlocking on occasion while driving. As the car was already booked to go to the main dealer for its annual service and MOT we left it. In any event, we never used the keyless entry. A few days later while out the car would not start. I looked online and started the car with the key right at the button. No problems, drove home only to find the car would not turn off. A call to the dealer and they suggested stalling it... it's an auto. They then suggested disconnecting the battery, which didn't stop the engine, eventually removing the (I think) 52 fuse which is the fuel pump did stop the engine. Reconnecting the battery and fuel pump fuse and the car was suddenly all fine - no keyless entry warning. What did happen was the aircon stopped working, or should I say i noticed a day later the aircon wasnt working. 3 days later it went for the service, they said they could find nothing wrong but suggested a re-gas (but that my local gas place would be quicker and cheaper) and also a software update, but warned the 'computer' (seem to think DCM which i read above sounds familiar) might break and require replacing at a cost of around £660. Apart from the aircon (the heating and fan and recirculate all work) the car is working perfectly. The software update required another booking so before I book it back in, spend £660 and the aircon still doesn't work I thought I would reach out to you friendly folk for some help. Oh yes, in the meantime I took the car to Kwikfit who re-gassed it, only to be told they think the condenser must be broken as it is still not working. Kwikfit obviously didn't know about the other problem; just seems possible it is less likely the condenser and more likely related to the electrical keyless entry problem. All comments welcome. I am also toying with the idea of taking a 2.5 hour drive up to stoke on trent as this may well require a novel approach which the main dealer (as nice as they are) is probably not equipped or authorised to take.
