Technical 500X Fault

Just had series of warning alarms, thought it was just a bulb ... But all lights in rear drivers side cluster have failed. Miles ether flashing visited dealer no solution found return visit booked for Friday 19th. Any thoughts from forum welcome .... Battery? Or ECU or ?

If the whole rear light cluster is not working, the dealer should have provided you with a loan car, due to the dangerous condition of your car to you and other road users.
Let alone putting you at risk of a fine and points on your licence.

If mileage is flashing then this means/indicates that the body computer has lost CAN PROXI communication with the NODE that controls the lights.

This would suggest to me a wiring/connector issue.

If I were the dealer I would have:

1) done a PROXI check to see what units were registered on the body computer
2) do the same on a similar loan/staff car and check for differences.

All models of the 500X will have one or more nodes/units responsible for lighting

I'm not suggesting such a PROXI check would be of value but it has to be done as a first port of call and thus be an educational "module" in dealer/technician education.
