Could be tricky to unless there is a an option/setting in the body computer.
I say this because the rear lights of the 500X are multiplexed. The rear side lights and brake lights are wired in parallel both using single filament bulbs. For side lights only then the body computer supplied only around 6V modulated feed this making the side light / brake light illuminate a 50% or less brightness. When the brake pedal is pressed then a full 12 is supplied to both bulbs.
This initially foxed me when I was installing my tow bar as oddly there is a wire to feed each of the bulbs separately as in a traditional old style setup. One of the purposes of multiplexing is to reduce copper cost in the wiring looms so why the 500X is multiplexed but retains a full wiring loom is a little puzzling. Were the 500X a safety critical vehicle (e.g. aircraft) I can understand the redundancy
