500 Wing Mirror

My wife has a 62 plate 500L. For the second time in 6 months the drivers side wing mirror has been taken off by a non-stop driver!
First time the whole mirror, casing and arm were completely wrecked. This time it's dislocated the mirror holder from the arm. I've tried to relocate it but can't get it to take.
Does anyone know if this is possible (and how to do it) or do I have to buy another replacement?

Sorry don't know where the L came from. The car is a 62 plate 500.

Hi.
Its the same mirror as the GrandePunto.

The actual mirror is located on the door mount via cast metal tube. Relying on a strong spring for tension.

My old mirror had the heads of the tube smashed.

Or do you just need the info on just remounting the mirror lens?

Thanks Charlie. From your reply it sounds like what I feared. The mirror housing has come off the stem attached to the door and it looks like the connection is permanently broken. Ironically the mirror is intact!

This happened to mine. I put a bolt though it until I could get a used replacement.
