500 radio - I've fallen at the first hurdle

I need to get the serial number off my 500 radio unit but I can't see an obvious means of removing the unit.
Any pointers anyone?

I've not seen one personally but does it have any holes in the unit?

Normally they do, and you can get removal tools which you push into the holes to release the locks

No holes visible.
I assume the cream cover pops off somehow but don't want to try without advice in case I damage it.

Remove the blank buttons then use the wire keys that Frazer posted about.

Just been and bought some of the removal tools from Halfrauds and they won't fit in the holes!!
The fiat ones aren't somehow special are they?
