Is there anyway to check past/cleared fault codes in MES? I may be overthinking things but as most of you know I’ve had my car less than 3 months ... my head gasket has blown but I had no warning no light no beep ... nothing shows in MES to let me know this happened!! I’m basically wondering if this happened to the car pre me buying it ... was bodged and sold to little old clueless me!!

No, once cleared the codes have gone.
I ca't remember was the car purchased privaely or from a dealer? If a dealer (anyone who sells cars for profit not just a full time business) you still have some rights. You even have some with a private seller but it's much harder work.

A small dealership! That’s a shame it may have given me some ammo if that had shown up before I had bought the car!! I’ve no way of knowing if it had happened before I got the car or in the last 3 months... just concerned that there was no warning if there had been I would have been all over it!! I know I have some rights but I’m not willing to fight .... I’ll just get it sorted myself
