Ok I need some advice as I'm getting frustrated. Tried to change my jag mk2 insurance over to my fiat. Wouldn't do it as I told them it had been modified to a 650 engine and gearbox. Seems a bit silly as it makes the car easier to use not harder.
Tried carole nash but for being classic brokers dont instill confidence they understand either. I realise at the end of line a guy is sitting in a london insurance office and is not really interested.
Can anyone advise a good company to try please?
For info on a compare site Sterling have quoted £102 but never used them. Carole nash wanted £117 before mods.

I have been driving since 1969 roughly and have a clean license, the last time I got a quote better than yours was £80 for an MGB Roadster in 1975 assuming you are talking about an annual payment and most of my vehicles do less than 2000 miles per year.;)
I believe Adrian Flux? insurers advertise on this site, see if they can quote, although last time I asked for a basic Fiat Doblo they were one of the dearest!:(

Nash just got back to me, £119 with £100 excess which is not bad. Forgot to ask if it was agreed value though, they'll probably want £25 for that.

I used Sterling once, but there was small print requiring no claims paperwork, which is always hard work, and I forgot, so they cancelled it and I spent a few months not aware that I was uninsured. Fortunately, building a house had kept the car garaged so I was OK.
Adrian Flux was cheaper this year than last, They were extremely thorough before my first policy with them, and the upgraded engine seemed a sticking point initially. £102 is close to my premium's pricing.

Hi.
Did you actually get an insurance quotation from ourselves in the end?
Regards,
Dan.

Dan it asked if I wanted a call back rather than wait, said yes asap, got a call about a week later, already sorted by then, have used flux before.
Hi.
That's not great. I'm sorry to hear that.
I'll pass on your feedback.
Regards,
Dan.
