yeah ive been reading a bit on this issue seems to be a common issue.... I cleared old faults yesterday once I figured out how to connect to engineAs a guess I'd say there's been or is a misfire problem on cylinder 2 so possibly coil pack, plug, plug lead, valve, or injection?
I’m booked into a fiat dealership on the 19th for a service I just need to know what I’m looking at...
At a guess, I'd say a large bill .
Visiting a franchised dealer with a 9yr old car bought from outside the franchise might be an expensive exercise.
You'd do better going to your local equivalent of somewhere like this.
where are the cylinders in the engine? im having a hard time finding out online?
Here's a picture of a 500 cylinder block (actually a 1.4, but the 1.2 is similar).
The cylinders are the four large bores in the middle, you can also see the slotted passages through which the coolant circulates.
The head gasket sits on top of this, providing a seal between the cylinder block and the cylinder head.
do I need to go get a new coil pack + leads? cause I can do that tom myself!I thought it was this View attachment 204981 haha how far down do I have to go?

To see inside the cylinders without dismantling the engine, you need a borescope, which is like an endoscope for engines. It's fed in through the spark plug holes (after removing the spark plugs). You can also do a compression test on the cylinders, which involves screwing a pressure gauge into the spark plug holes, cranking the engine, and seeing what pressure it makes. Both methods can tell you a lot about the engine's condition without dismantling, and can help work out whether your head gasket is still sound. The dealer may do one or both of these tests if an internal engine problem is suspected.
I hope this helps you understand what's going on; you've already had more than enough problems with this car, without needing any more.
that's cause I actually enjoy it yeah off to euro car parts tom then ill be under the bonnet all afternoon! my guess is the coil pack but who knows..... ive been out and had a look it seems pretty straight forward.... watch this spaceIt’s certainly worth trying coil pack and leads.at least it will rule them out. If it’s not you can get your money back on eBay by selling them on. You are getting more competent as time goes on and changing the coil pack is easy.
Try plugs(Iridium) and leads first, coil pack connections then other possible things?
Jobs a good un!! Took me 15 mins .... no rough idling car feels better already! Went for a long drive no error codes ....... obviously I’ll keep my eye on it
