Hi,

I have just picked up my new 500 by Diesel and have found that the lights cannot be turned on or off, sometimes always off sometimes on and when parked the rear lights and number plate light turn on , sometimes flash and the only way to turn off is to start the engine at which point all goes off. Its back at the dealers no but upset after waiting for it.

Anybody had a similar problem?:bang:

Bad luck :( But keep the faith (y)

Just teething problems - can happen with any make of car (even the top marques) but I know how disappointing it can be.

Modern cars are incredibly complex so it's no surprise.

Stick with it - you won't be disappointed in the long run.

Cheers

You must be extremely unfortunate to have something like this happen so soon after it has had it's PDI. :chin:

It's fixed! Faulty light switch, will pick up on friday. The dealer has been very helpful and are giving it a good clean.

:):):)

Does this mean that you and the wife will be coming to NFM2 meet in two cars?

Either way, check out my post in the Events section regarding convoy arrangements, if you would like to rendezvous with Nott and I and probably Snowball and possibly Heidi if she can come. (y)

Yes we would be in 2 cars most likely, however i've just found that i my plans have changed and i am required to travel to work that afternoon to Helston in cornwall. This will also be after a demanding week of work, I (in fact we) will make a decision on the day. We both have demanding unconventional jobs which require overtime and travel with little notice.

Regarding a convoy we would be heading west along the A303 to Salisbury and down, another route maybe to Yeovil/Weymouth, i'd have to check the exact location of the pub but the a303 route is far quicker if the pub is where i think it is. I guess notts would be coming down the M3.

Sorry i can't be of more help.

Notts and Mrs Notts are actually travelling down on the Saturday and staying with me on Saturday night so we will be going together on Sunday morning. Snowball is in also Bournemouth on the Saturday so hopefully it should be realtively easy to arrange a rendezvous on Sunday morning and Heidi, if she comes, lives not far from me so logistically it works out quite well.

If at any time you wanted to alter your route slightly via Dorchester, Bere Regis and Poole then we could definitely work out something.

Hope that you can make it and look forward forward to seeing you at the Swan all being well.
