hello new here

have a problem with my fiat 500 1.2 2010 its recently had a battery and service, but its now got an issue of not starting. it will crank and you can hear the fuel pump and the starter motor going but the starter motor doesn’t sound great but it won’t start. we have it a bump start and started up fine and drive perfectly fine but when i stopped at a junction it cut out again and wouldn’t start again we think it could be something wrong with the wiring or maybe starter motor let me know if you know anything

Id be checking the condition of the battery first! how old is it? and the main earth strap as well! not enough voltage to operate the starter and injection system! but when bump starting theres no drain via the starter motor so voltage might be enough! If you can borrow a battery and that works then you need a new battery simple! or if you try jump leads from another car or a battery booster -and that also works -same conclusion!

it’s had a new battery in it which should be fine but she did leave it straight after putting it in for 2 weeks as she was on holiday i’ll defo have a look at the earth strap

check the battery voltage you need minimum 12.4- 12.6 or above more desirable, also test the alternator is charging properly 12.5 or above at idle up to 14 volts when revved!

Let's go back a step.
Why the new battery? Was this to cure a problem, or a symptom? If there's a parasitic drain, fitting a new battery, then leaving it for a fortnight, will result in another flat battery.
So, as said above, check the battery voltage, before, and during cranking attempt. Does the clock reset, and flash after a start attempt?

Car have Bluetooth and does it work
The reason John is asking is that there's a common fault where the Blue&Me module fails and causes a permanent drain on the battery even when the car is powered off.

If you fitted a new battery to a car with this fault and left it for two weeks, it would likely completely discharge the battery. Even a two week old battery could be permanently ruined if that happened.
