General 500 1.2 Air Filter Mounting Rubber

Hi all.

Gave Ruby a bit of a service over the weekend.
When removing the air filter box I noticed one of the rubber mountings on the side of the air box (where it bolts to cam cover) was split.

Not very good for 9,000 miles!

Just been on the phone to Fiat dealership to order a new one and have been told it is only available with new air filter box at £160 + VAT

Has anyone found a supply of just the rubber mountings, as I'm not prepared to pay that much money every 9,000 miles for a piece of rubber.

Does it actually matter, as it's just a rubber mounting without much weight/movement on it?

Just been to check, and mine are fine after 4yrs/36k.

I'm wondering if they've been overtightened in the past by someone in the trade (a common mistake).

If it bothers you, you could likely buy or fabricate replacement rubber washers.

Nope, not over tightened, not really able to with the metal 'top hat' insert.
Just poor quality rubber I reckon, ever so thin too!
Will have to look in to fabricating some thing.
Could be the best excuse yet to buy a 3D printer!!
