I've had a look at the 4x4 panda. Just a look - garage was closed :(

The 100HP is still there too ;)

Back to the 4x4 was really dirty as they don't clean them. Makes it hard to judge its actual condition but wasn't that fresh anyway, sump guard underneath was flakey with rust. Bonnet stone ship city though alloys were unmarked.

Unless there is a major adjustment in price I can go another 50 miles up the road and pick up a newer (by 2 years) less miles (40k less) example for £200 less !

Unfortunately they are both in metallic silver which is not my favourite shade.

I sent an email via auto trader to the lower mileage panda garage. No response.

Tried phoning them - phone rang out no answer.

Do they want to sell a car or not?

Seam to be quite a few in my price range about, suprised to find they didn't come with aircon as standard though. It's bit of a deal breaker - I wonder if it can be retro-fitted from a scrapper?

I seem to remember back when I had a Punto someone wanted to retro-fit aircon to their Punto, its quite a faff and a lot more work than you'd think so I'd definitely get one with it as a factory option.

The garage selling the low miles 4x4 hasn't rang back.

Don't think I'll bother though, who wants to off road their 'best' (most expensive) vehicle?

Decider will be Sunday's Panday - aka - to 4x4 or not 4x4 that is the question.

Terrifying! Prefer transport to have doors and roof and to be generally less "death trappy"

Back to looking at 3k Jimny's.

Might go over to see "Mr Jimny" in Bradford tomorrow and see what he has and a test drive.

Don't really think a mk3 Panda will survive me off roading it - found a few little scrapes on Fizzle once I'd washed the mud off :D
