Hello all. I'm Louis from Florence, AL and new to this forum. Well, I'm finally getting back to the restoration of my 1972 850 Spider after more than 25 years from the start. I bought this car new in 1973 when I was a student at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I completely stripped this car down sometime in the mid 90's and started buying parts (thanks Chris Obert) to make it look new again. After body work, new paint, and re-chrome of bumpers, the project stalled when we moved to a new home when everything got boxed up and so car has pretty much sat for the last 20 years. Now that I am finally retired, I've have started back on the project, unpacking the half dozen or so of boxes. The exterior is mostly finished and now I'm starting on the interior.

So, now I'm hoping the wonderful Fiat enthusiast of this forum can help me finish this project! I'm missing a part or two that have been lost and have some I don't know where they go. First, I would like recommendations for any venders you use to buy parts, preferably USA, as I have yet to buy a new top. Second, my immediate need is for a driver's side rear guide channel for the window. I simply can not find this part after unpacking so no telling what happened to it. I also need an ash tray, or at least the leaf spring that holds it in. As I was working on putting the dash back together yesterday, the spring broke when I compressed it to install the ash tray.

Thanks, in advance, to all!
