Hi, I have just bought a 2016 Fiat Panda Pop 1.2 and looking underneath the front pipe appears to be either intentionally partially restricted, in that it is somewhat squashed in shape just behind the front pipe joint/clamp - it may be intentional but there again it may be damage in which case it will be restricting the exhaust flow, can anyone help??

Thanks Mike

yes - ‘they’re all like that’. Gives access to the subframe bolt. [edit: sorry, missed that previous reply linked to that same answer :) ]

Yes the dent in the exhaust just behind the sump pan is normal. It is like so to clear a bolt-on horizontal subframe bar which may be missing! See this thread https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/strange-deformed-exhaust.476146/
Yes thank you all. I have looked under another 1.2 and found the exhaust the same, this one had a transverse horizontal strengthening bar across the subframe, the dent in the exhaust making room for it
