Just picked up a 2013 lwb 13 multijet yesterday, would a 2015 touchscreen head unit fit straight into a 2013 x250 ? Would it need to be coded etc ? The van has no bluetooth , would this solve the issue ?

Theres a dutch guy on here trying to do the same his van had no canbus wiring radio wouldn't even reach the pincode screen. The stock headunit isn't up to much anyway and you have to fork out for updates that are already 12 months out of date. I would fit an android one with a doulbe din adapter you could have sygic / google maps / waze for navigation, spotify, torque for diagnostics etc. etc.

I've fitted an Android unit to my 2015 which is great but for a couple of issues. The harness adaptor I've used isn't liked by the vehicle CANBUS so the milage is flashing and it looks like the aerial will need to be upgraded. But for £250 I shouldn't grumble!

Mileage is flashing because you removed a canbus device, running a proxi alignment should fix it, not sure if multiecuscan / alfaobd supports that on the x290 though so might be a trip to the stealer.

Thanks. I've bought an OBD2 device. Can I run the proxi alignment on that? If not what is it?
