Just changed the stereo in my van and the milage is flashing on the dash.......any ideas guys? ?

PS
Forgot to say hello to everyone. ......I'm new ???

Thanks Davran
The new head unit is Andriod and comes with an OBD2 that plugs into the vehicle port. Is there an App that I can download that will remedy this problem?

Will it affect anything if I just leave the thing flashing??

Hi,had the same problem, deleted all info from blue tooth, reprogrammed, all good.
No more worries

Hi Cad.
Could you explain that in a bit more detail pls?

Hi Mohojo,
When this happened to me I contacted dealer and he advised me that the only time he had heard about mileage flashing was when the blue tooth settings were out of whack.
My vehicle is 2014 model but can not imagine any difference with yours.
Your user manuel should detail actions to reset through main menu on steering wheel.
Cheers Cad.

Hi Cad.
I don't have any controls on my steering wheel. Have you changed your car radio for another model? Are you talking about the blue tooth settings on the replacement?

Hi Mohojo,
Sounds like we may have different models, have changed but it is not the radio Bluetooth that was the problem.
Do you have a mode button on the dash,if so scroll through this and see if vehicle is fitted for Bluetooth.
If it is you should be able rest through here.

...for background, you may wish to read the thread here:

http://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Flashing-odometer/42020/

... and for more info: I do know of an instance where the swapping out of an origianal radio equipped with a "blue and me" module caused the Odometer to flash.

The module is in fact separable from the radio, and can (I believe) be re-installed using an extension lead, and this should resolve the issue.

In the particular instance I'm describing, the 'van also had steering wheel controls, and I don't have confirmation that the extension lead fixed it (but have reason to believe it did).

If your original radio was equipped with "Blue&Me", then I'm pretty sure this will be the basis of your problem.

An alternative would be to enquire of a dealer weather the settings can be deleted, or indeed, investigate whatever menus you have access to to see if you can disable bluetooth.

Hi Cad. Mine was the bog std radio with Bluetooth phone. No CD. No Bluetooth music. No steering controls. There is a mode button and I shall have a decco at it but not sure what I'm lokking for?

Hi Hugh. Read the thread. Interesting.
What is Blue and Me when it is at home??
Are you saying that if I strip this module from my old radio I can reinstall it in the new system? How do I do this and why would I need an extension lead?

Blue & me is a system that hooks into TomTom.Mine has this system, however if you have Bluetooth that hooks up to a phone, check these settings. That is the bit where mine needed resetting.Cad
