Panda 2012+ 2014 Panda Android head unit - JF Sound or Witson?

Hi all

I want to upgrade the standard fit stereo in my 2014 Panda 4x4 to an Android unit.

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with or advice about either JF Sound https://www.jfsound.it/it/home/1974-autoradio-fiat-panda-jf-032fp-x9-8059307176125.html or a Witson unit from Aliexpress or eBay.

The JF Sound units run an older version of Android (10) but look to be better quality and have DAB as standard. But they're a lot more expensive at £600 or so for the latest version.

The Witson units (and numerous others direct from China) are a lot cheaper, although at the bottom ends the specs are lower (cores, memory). They also all seem to sit a bit proud of the dashboard whereas the JF Sounds one looks to sit flush.

I found a really useful thread on here that described a good then bad then good experience with a Witson unit https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/w...it-radio-install-panda-cross-4x4-2020.494664/ but can't find anybody who has fitted a JF Sound unit.

There's a company in the UK that sells a unit that looks like the Witson https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/w...it-radio-install-panda-cross-4x4-2020.494664/ but by the time you've gone for the top spec and added DAB you're up to £450 (but get a UK warranty of course).

Anybody had any experience with JF or more input on Witson / generic eBay units?

Witson all day long. Customer service is good, and even resolved a faulty unit.

My advice is to not go for a base model, have more storage and RAM. Mid range will do fine.

In the end I went for the JF Sound unit. It arrives in a few days (customs paid in advance via Amazon). I’ll post up how I get on with it…
