Technical 2014 500L undercarriage, front right axel

I’m putting the engine back into a 2014 500 L and there is a knuckle on the axle right behind the oil pan and underneath the alternator Now, I can’t remember what the correct orientation of this knuckle is supposed to be. Should it be facing down facing towards the back of the vehicle facing up? Please see my video for maybe a better explanation

Is that a casting that holds the intermediate support bearing on the drive shaft?
If yes .....It bolts to the engine block
