It all sounds a bit vague.
What model, engine Series etc.?
When you say random misfire, do you mean it comes and goes , or not always on the same cylinder?
What tests have been done to indicate a possible cam issue?

Multiair unit issue,

Get the oil strainer checked

With poor oil flow you will have poor fuelling / valve control
