besides the water issues , I had my engine light come on today while driving, lost power to the engine with only the van being a week old with 1200km's only. other issues I have is when starting makes a horrible starting noise and sometimes it wants to start but then turns off. im NOT A HAPPY FIAT OWNER. Would not recommend it, also it makes a clunking noises when going over bumps, I have a merc sprinter 2000 model with 500000km's and still drives better and reliable and my engine oil on the merc is still a honey colour as for my ducato its black already very very very very disappointed. I've had so many people ask me about the ducato as they stop and chat to me while I’m making delivers and they ask me what I think, well do I tell them the truth or not, Fiat are the worst to deal with I have no confidence in them as always looking of ways to weeeeeeez out of the repairs. Which I have also realised they use the line “if it’s not a manufactures fault, I’ll be liable for the repairs"

Good news so far. I got a software upgrade and sorted the engine light for me. as for the water issues, there is a fix on its way from fiat, I was raving on b4 because of frustration and anger being a week old van only and loosing a days pay because of the break down. anyway lets hope fiat don't let there loyal customers down:devil:

the company i work for run 2 160multijet lwb 3.0 vans 2007 vehicles 1 has done approx 7400 miles the other 6500 miles apart from a/c niggles both are fantastic,we also run a 2006 scudo jtd which is also great. Before these 160's we ran 2 2800 jtds, and before that 2 2500 td's we also run a 1.9d recovery truck and have a 2300jtd chassis cab on order. Our vans normally run to 65000
-70000 miles in 2-3 years with few faults. We do service them every 10000 miles.I would highly recommend them. You may just have been very unlucky and got the Friday afternoon van after a heavy session.Stick it out.

Pity you never read the recall section before going off on a rant!

As for ways to get out of repairs, whats the point in that:confused:Are you talking at dealer level?

Hi,
I am new to this but also have a 120 lwb Ducato on a 57 plate.
The first thing I found was there was no spare wheel, just some fix&go kit.
there was no info on any Fiat brochure or on the web site and even the sales man unaware of this. This cost me £410 to have one fitted, not sure which plonka at Fiat chose this cost cutting point but if he was stupid enough remove spare wheels from delivery vans he should have removed the jack and wheelbrace to save money as one without the other is pointless.

I have blue & me fitted in this van but after three months I am still waiting for the instuction manual.
Dealers are sympathetic but they tell me Fiat are very poor with customer service.
Fiat customer sercvices are also very sympathetic but do not seem to have any communication with any other Fiat departments.
The van itself I am very happy with, drives like a dream and is fitted with lots of extras, maybe I should have gone for the Citroen or Peugeot.
Fiat UK=:bang:

Hi,
I can't get the message reader to work, I have found the download on this site (more help from this site in 10mins than Fiat have been in 3 months) but can not get the van to recognise it on a pen drive (tested on 2 pen drives, reads mp3 ok). I have Sony Eric K750i 8 months old, works ok on normal phone calls.
I sell all fruit & veg but did't want to be called Banana Man!

My 750i works fine on all systems, remember that you must have nothing else on the pen drive except the files you want to download or it wont work.

Can yo udo me a good deal on pineapples:yum:

Hi,
Got it working this morning, I think the problem was that I didn't click agree on the software licence (maybe) what the hell it's working fine.
No problem with the pinapples, where's the tent!!

Is it just me or is Fiat just a crap company to deal with, they don't seem to give any support to the dealers or the customers. This forum has sorted a problem with my blue & me in a few minutes, Fiat customer services couldn't tell me the instructions were on the internet to download or that I needed to update the blue & me, where is there tech support for customers?

The Fiat Forum is your Fiat Customer Support (y)

If you have a problem that can not firstly be solved by this Forum then dont bother going to Fiat directly :D

On a more serious note when dealing with Fiat dealers its well known that certain dealers are a dream and others are just not worth the drive there! :yuck:

As for Fiat UK.... dont get me started!

The problem with customer services is like most products they people behind the phones on the whole know little about the product, they talk directly from scripts infront of them.

Tent in a field....bit cold tonight:(

My 100 multijet lwb has a spare wheel so I wonder why your model has not?
Fiat customer care (Ha! Ha!) told me that most ducatos do not have spare wheels, cost me £410 to have one fitted at my local dealer. Had my first puncture last week after just 2500 miles, so I am very glad I had the spare as the fix & go crap would have make the tyre unrepairable. It looks like Fiat don't want to tell buyers that the will be no spare. If you have one on your 100 multijet you're the lucky one!

Today the Blue&Me packed up, non of the buttons work, blue light has gone out no voice activation and the mileage indicator on the dash flashes on and off all the time. Going back to the dealers on Monday!! I hope this is not going to take too long.
One good bit of news is I now have the instruction manual for the B&M and it only took 4 months and about 50 ( or more ) phone calls, don't knock customer (don't) care.

I just unplug it for few minutes. From memory you can learn 3 phones then if you learn another it kicks the first one learnt out etc...can lead to problems that reset rectiifys.Could disconnect battery for few minutes, you might need radio code.

Many thanks, I will take it back to the dealer though, I think they are fitting a cover over the top of the engine on the Ducato to solve the water problem also need them to check out the bad clutch judder when reversing, so smooth going forward but it's like a bunny on speed in reverse. I expect there will be some other recalls to do also.
Do you know if it is possible to change the cd player without causing a problem with the Blue&Me ?
