Hi new to this, but I was wondering if anyone can help ?
had car checked at garage ,they said it was the engine ECU that was at fault ,removed ECU and sent it for testing came back and tester said it was OK(cost £240),refitted still will not start, had body ECU checked thats where the immobiliser is,came back OK (cost £40),had key checked (£50),I've checked all the wiring and I mean ALL the wiring for continuity
ign switch/body ecu/eng fuse-relay box/eng ecu and there's alot of wire's.But when I checked the voltage of the wire from the eng ecu to the starter relay I only got 0.4 volt when I was turning the key to start,I think this is too low and I thought it should have been nearer 12volt ,So can anyone tell me what voltage I should be getting, It's pin 62 on plug 2 engine ecu.
Hope someone can help,or do I go with the garage and get a new engine ecu, they wanted £350 + fittingign switch/body ecu/eng fuse-relay box/eng ecu and there's alot of wire's.But when I checked the voltage of the wire from the eng ecu to the starter relay I only got 0.4 volt when I was turning the key to start,I think this is too low and I thought it should have been nearer 12volt ,So can anyone tell me what voltage I should be getting, It's pin 62 on plug 2 engine ecu.
